These people are taking the ultimate risk (their lives) to get into this country. It is that kind of courage the built this country in the first place. I do believe that there should be a way of processing these people into the country legally. When my great grandparents came to this country they were processed at Ellis Island and worked to gain citizenship. Nobody realized it then, but those records are now a treasure trove of geneological data used by people tracing their ancestry. With the immense amount of data being collected from legal immigrants moving to this country now, are the illegal immigrants cheating their descendants out of data that may be important to them in the future?
